National Nutrition Month is being celebrated across the country to mark the fight against malnutrition.
During this month, various programmes have been organized by the Women and Child Development Ministry to spread broad awareness on the issues related to malnutrition like stunting, under-nutrition, anaemia and low birth weight in children. 

Workshop Name – Poshan Ka Adhikaar

Humanity Welfare Council organised a workshop with the students of Journalism and Mass Communication from Gopal Narayan Singh University on 28 September on the topic “Right to Nutrition” in a village named “Dhankarha” near Sasaram, Rohtas, Bihar.

The workshop was designed to talk about Nutrition rights, benefits and aware them of Nutrition month and government initiatives.

Almost 50 women and girls participated in the workshop. The workshop started with the introduction of the topic which was “Right to Nutrition” given by Pragati Sankrit and later some activities were done by students like music games, questionnaire session and some acts were performed which was led by Sheelu Ragini. After the activities, some government schemes were discussed with the women by Anya Tiwari. A monologue was also delivered by Assistant Professor Puja Kaushik. Dr Vasundhara shared some information to make them aware of nutrition, proper food management and a balanced diet. Sourav Srivastava also added how the local healthcare bodies, hospitals can help in processing proper nutrition plans for pregnant women. The queries were answered by Dr Vasundhara and Dr Shreyansh from Narayan Medical College and Hospital.

The workshop ended by gifting Tulsi plants to the guests of the day. After completing the workshop refreshment were distributed among women and girls.
