Apart from the fact that it is a Ranbir Kapoor starred movie and my very first screen watched cinema. I love this movie with all my nerves getting excited even after 7 years of its release.Don’t know what connections such movies keep with us, that after kkhh and Khnh, YJHD has kept the flavor of friendship and love alive till date.
So like the story of any college student with unique dreams, some hovering over parent’s expectations and some living their checklist of dreams to travel and explore. One settling to a good job and simple life and the other struggling with new ideas and efforts. How it happens when 8 years gear a reunion and changes are visible with time..Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani is a happy picture with a stockpile of 2 hrs and 56 mins. Still it’s on tv and you can’t stop saying “Main udna chahta hun, daudna chahta hun, girna bhi chahta hun.Bas, rukna nahi chahta”.
I remember I gave my 12th boards the same year and was struggling with my family’s expectations and my choice after boards and this movie gave a boost to my efforts.And on this #7yearsofyehjawaanihaideewani, I can still dance over Naina’s Amitabh Bachchan song version and get numb on”Mujhe Tumse Pyar ho jaega phir se”, even laugh on Naina’s dangerous love wali smile
